Bereavement and Grief

Bereavement refers specifically to the process of recovering from the death of a person you loved. Grief is a reaction to any loss.

Bereavement and grief

Both cover a range of feelings from deep sadness to anger and there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

It is common for those that have been bereaved to see a counsellor or psychotherapist. The therapist will be able to facilitate and offer support through the stages of grief and provide comfort and reassurance.
